This stunning walk offers a great variety of scenery and changing elevation with a strenuous hill climb towards the end. At different points there are stunning views across the Cheshire plains and towards Manchester.
Interesting Fact:
The hill was quarried for millstone grit from the 16th century until 1955.
There were two quarries, one by the northern viewpoint at Windyway producing a blue stone, and the other near the Tegg's Nose summit producing Tegg's Nose Pink.
